Description

Used for: The perfect tool for removing bones from fish as well as detailing a plate.

The importance of boneless fish

Swallowing a fish bone, depending on its size and thickness, can be quite painful. It is not life-threatening, but if a bone gets stuck in your esophagus for a long time, it will irritate it. You may experience this for several days, also because your esophagus may become inflamed. That is why it is a good idea to carefully remove all bones when preparing fish.

What to do when you swallow one anyway? Eat some bread without crusts, possibly soaked in some oil. Mashed potatoes often work as well, as the thickness of the potatoes helps you swallow the fish bone after which it is digested by your stomach.

With this pair of Wüsthof fish bone tweezers made from stainless steel, you can remove any loose bones from your fish without damaging it. After filleting with a filleting knife, bones can be left behind which are difficult to remove by hand.

That is when these practical tweezers can come in handy, which can remove even the most stubborn bones. The Tweezers can also be used for every detail in setting up a plate.
